Running Minikube on Local

This document explains how you can run local kube cluster on your machine using minikube.

There might be situations when you would want to run kubernetes cluster on your local. For local, we use minikube.

The common minikube cluster configurations are available in bootstrap repository.

Getting Started

Follow the below steps to start the cluster.

1. Start Common Service Containers

Run the following command in your project root to run the common postgres, mysql, kafka, redis, etc. containers locally.

make all-up

This command will create all containers, and make sure that these are in running state.

2. Boostrap Minikube

Once your docker containers are running, you can now run the following command to bootstrap the minikube with profile zwing.

cd minikube
make bootstrap
